Alsoran, AKA The Smilemaker, is a white colt born on 01.20.04. Alsoran is by Big
Lawmaker, a stern and fierce stakes winner in the mid-90’s. Big Lawmaker
won several Alsoranland stakes races including the Marshmallow Stakes and
the Cupcake Derby. In his first crop to hit the track in ’01, Big
Lawmaker sired the leading filly Sweet ‘n Charming winner of ’05
Royalty Cup.
Alsoran is out of the stakes-winning filly Seems So Happy. She took the
Golden Spinaway (GI) at age two. Seems So Happy was sired by Mister
Freeze, the ’84 Marshmallow Stakes and Iceness Champ.

I
grew up on a stable in the shadow of a race track listening to the crowds
cheer on great Thoroughbreds. I dreamed of being a great champion. My
first trip to the track I was laughed at because I was much smaller and
didn't look like the other horses. I was told I'd never race.
So I instead traveled to race tracks to play music for discouraged
spectators. I try to inspire all to believe in themselves and find their
own races to win. My music hasn't always gone off too well. But now, I'm
on my way to becoming a champion song writer. My new album will show that.
My music has been described as quirky indie rock, slacker-pop, funxcore.
But I just call it "the wow."
Earlier this year, I traveled to Alsoranland to play a show and by fateful
circumstances found myself running in the big Sprinkle-toga where many Big
Horses make their debut.
I won. And I kept winning. In January I looked up to see if I qualify for
the Kentucky Derby. It's a long shot, but I do.
I am in high spirits realizing now that I have a chance to run in and win
the Kentucky Derby.
This year, I'm working on a new album that will be full of hope, and
inspiration. The album isn't all about horse racing, but subtle melodies
and lyric phrases will most fully be appreciated by horse racing
enthusiasts.
I missed the early deadline to nominate for The Kentucky Derby 133 on May
5th. so now I need $6000 to nominate and after I get in I need $25,000 to
enter and $25,000 to start.
I am hard at work at the track every morning. Every afternoon I am hard at
work selling things out of my trunk and looking for sponsors for my race.
Every night I am hard at work on the new tracks for my album which will be
let out in November.
One way I am raising the money to run is by offering a
copy of my album, and a ticket to a show to anyone who will sponsor my dream.
Sponsorship comes with other great benefits as well.

race. Click here.
A portion of winnings from my race and album sales will be donated to
horse related charities.
